PRIVACY
POLICY
Privacy does matter. We realize that
mutual trust is vital to our right to assist you in preparing a
work that is intimately about your life or the life of a loved one.
We know no other way to operate except with a strict standard of
confidentiality.
We consider the facts you share with
us about your life as the confidences of a friend, not to be discussed
with others. Even beyond that, it is a professional client relationship
with all that that implies.
During our interview process, in person
or by telephone, we use video and/or audio to assure accuracy of
fact, and subtlety of meaning. We shall respect and protect the
confidentiality of such recordings.
To avoid errors and misunderstandings
in your story, your Living Legacy will not be finalized until the
draft is read and approved by you or by the Family Contact (person
designated when we are preparing a work for another).
No work created for you or about your
family member will ever be published in any form, tangibly or on
the internet, without your express, written permission.
If you approve our display of your
work as a sample, you can specify the changing of names and dates
and other identifying material which we would do at no charge.
The team at Living Legacies is small.
I have two colleagues whom I have known for years. They operate
sometimes in front of but usually behind the scenes in order to
assure the work’s authenticity and artistry. Their pledge
of privacy is in oneness with mine.
