Dr. Robin
Grant, founder of In His Love International Ministry, passed away
on October 8, 2011 in Tirana, Albania, where she had lived since
late 2010, actively pursuing her work for the Lord. In these pages,
we pay tribute to a woman who truly walked in the footsteps of
Jesus.
Robin
was born in Boston May 14, 1947. With her parents and older brother,
Chuck, she lived on the East Coast until 1962, when the family
relocated to Pacific Palisades, California.
Boating, and the water in all forms, bound the family in joint
water sports and adventures. Robin thrived on the water, was a
happy, involved crew member and liked every aspect of being on
the ocean. Her brother mused that many of her adult hobbies -
cruising, scuba diving, predicted log racing, and even cruise-ship
ministering - were a consequence of those happy family boating
days.
A good student, Robin graduated from Pali High, got her Bachelor’s
from the University of Oregon, and a Master’s in Public
Health from Cal State Northridge. Her Doctorate Degree in Ministry
was bestowed in 1998. One of her first jobs was traveling to small
towns in Alaska to educate the residents about hypertension. She
switched to a travel-related industry to spend a long tenure with
TWA, taking full advantage of travel privileges to visit virtually
every scuba diving spot on the globe. Her last two positions were
in the fields of computer technology and coin collection and auctioneering.

After
her mother died in 1978, Robin stayed close by and took extra
special care of her father until he eventually remarried. Robin
is survived by her brother Chuck and sister-in-law Julie Grant,
nephew Adam Grant, niece Sarah Chance-Rudney, and grand nieces
Sophie Chance and Greta Grant, and grand nephew Soren Grant.
