| Perhaps
you are a caregiver for an elderly family member or close to a loved
one in crisis. As such, you are acutely aware of their special needs
for positive reinforcement and support, yet you understandably have
little time to do more than you are presently doing.
Caregiving
at home…Giving up family home…
Transition to assisted living…Convalescent home…
Nursing home...Memory loss…
Speech impairment by stroke…Alzheimer’s…
Parkinson’s…Hospice...Even need for a memorial
If any of the above is a concern to
you, we invite you to consider how Living Legacies can intervene
sensitively and definitively on behalf of your loved one, with minimum
demand on your time.
Biographical
Sketch
for those in transition
A biographical sketch can provide
a vital bridge to assisted living or a nursing home or to caregivers
who visit at home. Imagine the staff and caregivers (all essentially
strangers) immediately being given a way to relate to your loved
one! What your parent or grandparent may no longer be able to convey
of their personality and identity is communicated with taste and
dignity. This can be very short, even two pages.
Memory
Jogger Album
for those whose memory is impaired
In line with successful Alzheimer’s non-medical
intervention, we attempt to uncover the areas which give the
individual their greatest sense of comfort, as this knowledge can
be used effectively by caregivers.
Pricing
for Special Needs
Caregiving facilities or non-profits
are encouraged to become Affiliates
of Living Legacies. Affiliation not only grants a lower pricing
structure, but also leads to real relationships between our staff
and those in your care. Results become appreciatively more meaningful
as our interviewer becomes a trusted, familiar face in the environment.
Family
Contact
When preparing a work for someone
with special needs, we ask a family member to be designated as our
Family Contact. We will rely upon that person to provide us the
pictures for selection and the information we require on a short
questionnaire. Our agreement will always be made with the Family
Contact and all financial matters will be handled with that contact.
